Technical Sales Engineer  –  Chicago, IL or Dayton, TN

This position will be responsible for following up on leads with those who engage PITCO Engineering Services and convert them into customers. Duties will include reaching out to current and potential clients to increase the volume of contracts, building better relationships, some cold calling, qualifying, and setting appointments. In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have an understanding of the sales process and dynamics and demonstrate superb interpersonal skills. The position is flexible and can be based in vibrant Chicago or dynamic Dayton, TN.


  • Generate new leads by making up to 100 calls a day
  • Schedule up to 20 meetings with clients and closers per month and conduct 10 meetings with a show rate of at least 60%
  • Close 2 new Contracts per month
  • Find, qualify, and add 5 new vendors to the PITCO Engineering Vendor Base.
  • Make 2,000 dials per month
  • Manage a pipeline of prospects using company CRM and perform a daily review of leads and lead sources
  • Accurately provide information regarding the Business Model of PITCO Engineering and our Executive Leadership
  • Ask qualifying questions to determine the client’s industry, application, revenue, …etc.
  • Document conversations in CRM in a clear, concise manner so fellow Sales Associates can reference
  • Utilize role-play opportunities to gain confidence in the sales process
  • Communicate PITCO Engineering’s value proposition to all prospects


  • Strong ability to talk through common occurrences in industrial engineering setups to all stakeholders
  • Ability to meet or exceed sales quota of 100+ outbound calls/day
  • Ability to leverage CRM and be accurate in taking notes on clients
  • Can memorize the PITCO Engineering sales script without deviating in order to master the conversations
  • Ability to explain the PITCO Ecosystem (Engineering Services, R&D in Robotics, Smart Home and AI etc) to a client in a clear manner
  • Ability to meet sales targets for specific offers or deals that take priority during the sales cycle (i.e. Shutdown Seasons, Trade Shows, Greenfield ramp-ups)
  • Comfortable with consistent follow up and ability to get creative when reaching out to clients (i.e. Call, text, email, video messages, gifts…etc)
  • Knowledgeable of the Product and Pricing guide and stay up to date with any changes
  • Thorough understanding of different verticals and requirements


  • Bachelors Degree mandatory; BSEngineering a big plus
  • 1+ years of work experience in a sales specific role with an industrial engineering focus.
